The Sole is the newest Vibram putter available in X-Link rubbers. Unlike the other Vibram putters with flat tops, the sole has a more traditional domed top. While Vibram’s other putters are known for their driving abilities, the Sole is the putting putter, and the one you’re going to want for short throws into the chains. For longer approach shots, the Sole is slightly overstable and isn’t going to turn. It’s a straight flyer with a consistent end of flight fade. Like all Vibram discs, durability is the Sole’s big advantage. The X-Link compound has an unmatched life span in terms of disc quality. These discs handle intense beatings and still maintain their flight paths. The Vibram Sole is available in weights from 150-175 grams.

The soft plastic on this disc is amazing.  I got this as from a mystery disc and absolutely love it.  It's hard for me to go back to my Tui, Judge, or Wizard.  I've made some putts with this that certainly would have bounces out had I thrown any other disc.  Also threw one about 100 ft. out and it landed straight on top on the basket.

I liked the feel of the X-Link Soft plastic of the sole, I threw this disc very good. It flys nice and gets broken in easily. I would recommend this putter to other

Okay the X-Link soft sole was just so floppy. I got one hoping it would give me some extra putting distance. While it did help me get more distance on my putts, it game me an absolutely horrible release point. This disc would bend and move during my throwing motion, causing me to break my muscle memory very slightly on almost every putt.

I like the feel of the Sole, as it is the only putter that is similar to a classic putter mold. To me the bottom rim is similar to a Pa1, but the flight characteristics are different.

the Soft Sole definitely has more glide than 3, I gave it a flight rating of 4. For this disc to have less than a 4 glide it would have to show significantly less glide when compared to an Aviar or other classic mold putters, and the soft sole is arguably more glidey than a putter like those. That being said, this glidey putter performs terribly in the wind.

I hated the soft Sole but that doesn't mean it is not for you. The floppy plastic reminded me of step up from a blowfly, and is one of the best plastics on the market for grabbing chains. If you need a putter that performs well in the wind, don't try the Sole because you will be disappointed.

I love this putter, my primary goto inside 30 putter. So soft it grips the chains like no other and if it hits the basket there is a very good chance it will not bounce and roll away.

I also carry a meduim sole for longer approaches,  it has just a little turn and a reliable fade.

I have a x-link soft sole at 173 grams.  The soft compound is quite floppy and initially made me lack confidence it would fly well on anything but short approaches.  This turned out to not be an issue, though it still seems a little odd to throw a disc that is so soft.  The main role this disc has in my bag is when I am throwing to a location where I am concerned the disc might roll away after landing.  This disc does a good job of staying put when it lands, though I have had it roll on very rare occasions.

I have a bunch of different inside the circle putters, but this one is my favorite for putts into the wind, puts facing a left to right wind, or putts where I'm really worried about a roll-away..  The stability gives it a very predictable flight path.  Also, the durability is just incredible - My swans and aviars get nicked up over time, but this disc looks like I bought it yesterday.  Despite the softness of the rubber I can get a pretty clean release with this - the depth of the disc makes it easier to put a lot of your hand on it to roll off for a clean release.  This probably has to to with my putting style though, so YMMV.

Of late I've started to use a Swan2 more often on most putts, but this is the other putter in my bag and I'm happy to have it.
