The Sole is the newest Vibram putter available in X-Link rubbers. Unlike the other Vibram putters with flat tops, the sole has a more traditional domed top. While Vibram’s other putters are known for their driving abilities, the Sole is the putting putter, and the one you’re going to want for short throws into the chains. For longer approach shots, the Sole is slightly overstable and isn’t going to turn. It’s a straight flyer with a consistent end of flight fade. Like all Vibram discs, durability is the Sole’s big advantage. The X-Link compound has an unmatched life span in terms of disc quality. These discs handle intense beatings and still maintain their flight paths. The Vibram Sole is available in weights from 150-175 grams.

I got this disc in the first order I ever ordered as a mystery disc. I ordered a Westside Sotakirves, (Hatchet.). And I asked for a mystery disc, and when I moved the Sotakirves out of the way. Vibram. I was astonished, and couldn't believe my eyes. I was as happy then as I am now. I took my glow roc out of my bag.  I played with the disc the day I got it, I love it very much. And because Infinite Discs sent this disc to me as a mystery disc when I ordered, I'm very tempted to get the mystery disc option every time I order because of the awesome treat.  It is a white background, speckled with bits of color. Kinda like the left over milk after eating a couple or so bowls of fruity pebbles. Weight 170M. Guessing it was a medium rubber. It doesn't say anything about it being the X plastic stuff. Just that it was Compression Molded: Memory. The disc has a unique feel to it. I admit that when I pulled the Sotakirves out, I felt a rubbery presence in the palms of my hands before I pulled the Sotakirves away, and flipped out. Thank you again Infinite Discs.  Now, as to how I studied how it flies for my first time using it. It definitely fairs better than how my current mid ranges function with where I tend to throw it longer distances. The ergonomics of the disc also fairs better, in my opinion, than my other discs in the slower range. It makes a delicious sound as it whooshes through the air if you get it to git, and it likes to go straight, a generous amount of anhyzer will still bring it straight, and it'll plop well for lay-ups, or, it'll go nice and hard through tight spots, hit some grass and scoot around a tree. Very reliable hyzers, one thing I need to practice with it is to allow it to drop closer to the basket, because it likes to fade with hyzers.

I have this in Xlink Soft which wasn't an option. It's super duper floppy. It's my floppy putter of choice too. If you have a death putt or approach you can have confidence this putter will just die when it hits the ground. Flies pretty good but less stable than the Soles I have in firm and medium. Great utility disc.

The X-Link Medium Sole is the putter that I would choose if I were an all-Vibram thrower. That being said, I am disappointed to have to give Vibram's best putter on their market a 3 star review. I tried out the MVP Anode when it first came out, and used it until the Neutron Anode came out. Soon after, I was in the market for a new putter. I played the Vibram Birdie Bash and fell in love with the Sole. I was using the Sole from March to July in 2013, when the 300s Pa1 came out. I didn't like how overstable the 400s was, but was excited to get to try the softer plastic.

I rolled into Emporia, KS for the 2013 Junior World Championships. The first practice round was extremely windy, and every over par stroke I took during that practice round was because of windy putts. The Sole is horrible in the wind. I am a strong believer in not changing anything in your game before a tournament, especially a big one. The Sole was so horrible in the wind that I needed to switch putters with 2 days before the tournament started. I switched away to the Pa-1 and used the Sole very minimally during the tournament.

I putted great that week. Confidence in the wind is key, and the Sole offers none of that. It is horrible in the wind but otherwise a decent putter.

So I have two of these.  One that is max weight and the other is light weight.

The max weight is a great disc for knowing it will go out and drop/sit in a specific spot.  It holds a good hyzer line, but is not too great for driving with.  Seems like it has no glide and drops like a rock.

The light weight version (150 class) is awesome and flies exact oposite.  It has good glide and is better for driving with and I've also had some good success in winds with it.  I also really like it for putting.

Love this putter.  I have one that is Lite Blue, Dark Blue, Red, Orange, and White.  Color does not mean much if it does not fly well but I love the color and it flys great!

Feels great in the hand, superb grip, and floats very well.  Great chain grabber!  Love it!

I am a push putter and have a difficult time with deeper putts. This disc is amazing. It took a little getting used to  as most new discs do but I now am hitting putts I wouldn't have thought I could. I love the grippiness. I would recommend this disc to anyone.

I bag this disc for any putt inside the circle.  It flies true, with just enough consistancy to improve my game.  I have noticably less spit-outs with this putter than my old putter (Innova Nova).

I don't use this as a driving putter (I use a Vibram VP for that), but I have seen others reliably get it out to 250'+.

The Vibram material keeps a decent amount of grip when wet or cold.  This is what makes me stick with Vibram when I have an important putt on the line.

Overall a solid choice for a putter.

i recently acquired a vibram sole medium xl at 171 and have grown very fond of putting short range with it. i also find it useful off the tee on shorter holes that require a hyzer approach. this disc has replaced my champion plastic aero 180 that has been my go to putter for many years now. it just seems to always end up in the basket and you gotta love that.
