The Sole is the newest Vibram putter available in X-Link rubbers. Unlike the other Vibram putters with flat tops, the sole has a more traditional domed top. While Vibram’s other putters are known for their driving abilities, the Sole is the putting putter, and the one you’re going to want for short throws into the chains. For longer approach shots, the Sole is slightly overstable and isn’t going to turn. It’s a straight flyer with a consistent end of flight fade. Like all Vibram discs, durability is the Sole’s big advantage. The X-Link compound has an unmatched life span in terms of disc quality. These discs handle intense beatings and still maintain their flight paths. The Vibram Sole is available in weights from 150-175 grams.

The Sole is a Vibram putter that feels like a normal putter and not like a lid. It putts very well straight or around obstacles and even handles short drives pretty well. It's not great in the wind without a good amount of spin/snap. The Sole might need to be paired with a VP or Ridge for putts in the wind, depending on putting style.

X-Link Medium is the rubber most would prefer. Soft isn't as comfortable for putts, but excels at approach shots. I'm not really sure what purpose Hard serves, never tried them. Granite is the grippiest and is very similar to Medium.

The Sole is a great mold for putts and approaches. It's best used on wooded courses where wind is not much of an issue and because of the incredible durability.

This is the best putter that I have ever owned hands down. I agree with Jake however that this putter is weak at best in the wind, but I have plenty of other options in my bag to address that issue. This is my go to putter from 30 feet in, and it does it's job beautifully.
