The Innova Thunderbird is said to be predictable in the wind, but not so overstable that it's hard to keep straight. If you’re looking for a consistent driving disc that is slightly faster than the TeeBird3, the Thunderbird is for you. This likely won’t be the fastest or furthest flying driver in your bag, but when it comes to a workhorse driver with the right blend of speed and reliability, the Thunderbird exceeds expectations.

Innova says this of the Thunderbird: “The Thunderbird comes from strong bloodlines. The stability of a TeeBird with the speed of a Valkyrie; it could be best described as a seasoned Firebird, but with less fade. The Thunderbird is still predictable in the wind and a great choice for your new favorite long-range placement driver."

I have a lightweight one that I can keep pretty straight with heavy fade at the end

This has quickly become my "go-to" control driver in calm to moderately windy conditions. The description "the Innova Thunderbird is said to be predictable in the wind, but not so overstable that its hard to keep straight" is exactly how I would describe this disc.

330-350' shot requiring a straight flight with decent fade? Rip the Thunderbird flat for a 300' laser-straight flight and then watch it fade to the basket. 300-330' moderate headwind shot? Throw the Thunderbird on the slightest of hyzers and watch it make a mini-S and land dead straight. Spike it in tailwinds. This disc can do it all in any wind condition, and feels like confidence in the hand.

Very flat thunderbird, shimmer star x-out, awesome red, white, & blue misprint tournament double stamp. Stable flyer; great for backhand and forehand control shots.
