The Launch is a stable, straight-flying midrange from Vibram that will help beginners and slower arms gain confidence. When thrown with speed, this disc can handle head winds with a predictable turn in the end. Tail winds can take this disc straight and long. Players with good control and arm speed will love this disc on tighter, wooded shots that present a lower ceiling and they want to throw the shot on a b-line. The launch feels great in your hand and will prove itself worthy of being added to your bag.

i purchased 2 of these when they were dropped on black friday.

    a 173 Firm and 177 Med Microgranite.

173f:  the firm shows more of the turn than the med does.  if thrown flat it will track to the right a little and then fade back a bit giving that almost neutral flight. the firms i have touched either felt "mirm" (old medium density feel) or stiff.  this is more on the stiff side or actual firm.  this one is more akin to what i was after and has made a spot for iteself in my bag.

177MG:  the medium on the other hand behaves like all ibexes i have thrown.  it goes straight for a good ways and then fades out.  didnt matter if thrown flat or on a hyzer, it still faded.  it had better griip than previous generation of Micro Granite (still will be slippy when wet, dry your disc) but i am feeling kinda meh toards it.  pretty to look at and good to throw, but i just like  my ibex better in this weight class.

if you have thrown an ibex and didnt like the depth, this is an ideal candidate for you.  Shallower and domier than the ibex, more glide, and about the same fade.

i would go so far to say as this is the vibam equivalent to the gold line claymmore.  or a beefy buzzz ss (or really pro-d  buzzz).  innova guys, sorry i have nothing to really give a comparison to.

if you have a beginner or like a shallower feeling mid... this is foor you.  if not, then there is always the ibex.
