Striking a harmonious balance between distance and accuracy, the Synapse is the flagship entry into the true "pro" distance driver slot for Thought Space Athletics. It is stable enough to handle big arm speed or a stiff headwind, with just a hint of high-speed turn. The Synapse finds its equilibrium as the reliably stable long-bomber in your bag.

The Aura plastic is an overstable, flat top flyer. It has become my max distance forehand driver. Released on a little bit of anhyzer, I can can get this thing to full, beautiful flight. As always, TSA's artwork is above all other competitors. I am moving to an almost all Thought Space bag, and it is honestly unintentional. I gave this a not beginner friendly disc because of the overstableness of the aura plastic.

Got this disc from a mystery box and was very pleasantly surprised. Great disc! It became my go to for forehands, even short ones.

I am a big fan of TSA, and was excited to try out their new distance driver.  As others have mentioned mine is pretty flat.  It feels great for forehand, but does not have much glide before it's hard reliable finish.  I typically forehand 280-300 on the course.  I was getting the Synapse only 260-280.  Great looking disc and very comfortable.  I will continue to use it for field work, but for now, not going in the bag.  Might try it in a different plastic.

Aura plastic was very flat and overstable, more so than any other 12 speed disc I've thrown. The Synapse flies 30-50 feet shorter compared to other 12 speed drivers with similar flight numbers for me. The Synapse is still in my bag for forehand utility shots, and fighting headwinds where I can't afford to get my shot turned over.

Love this disc and it has replaced my Destroyer. I will say that in the Ethos it will need quite a bit of beating in to hold long lines. But as for the Aura, this thing is money for dogleg holes. I can fling this thing dead straight with a sturdy forehand low to the ground and expect a nice skip right towards the basket at the end of it's flight. And on nice open holes I can throw it with some anny and it will always come back with a consistent fade at the end. Graphics a huge plus for all versions of the plastic. TSA has the best graphics in the game. As for the plastic, I really love Aura and Ethereal. Ethos is great, but just has more hook to it and therefore is harder to get distance out of.

Alright I'm going to start by saying I'm pretty darn new to disc golf.

That being said, I got two of these discs in a Mystery Box (one Aura and one Ethereal), and I've had trouble getting it to fly straight on maybe 95% of throws. The last 5 percent are beauties.

I think it's a combination between being a very thin disc and the plastic being kind of slippery, but even when I get what feels like a good release the disc will fly straight for a very short while and hyzer really quickly. I even switched from a hybrid grip to a power grip just for this disc which helped but it still feels awkward.

I've thrown Destroyers and Odin's and never had this issue before. I'm sure the disc is good in the right hands, but I really struggle with it.

Might just have to trade for a different plastic.

    First impressions

From what I can see all the aura plastic comes out very flat but comfortable. Comparing this to an emperor the flight is much more direct thrown flat to slight hyzer it will go straight for most of the flight and then it will fade left once the disc starts losing speed. It is a great forehand disc and I am interested to see how the plastic breaks in overtime to continued use.

TL;DR: It’s a pretty Destroyer clone in MVP plastic.

Look/feel: It’s beautiful as all Thought Space discs are. The swirls in the Aura plastic are really something to behold. Grip is quite nice, even with some moisture on it from half-melted snow in the field. You can see in the pictures next to a D2 (purple) and Octane (blue) that it’s a very similar disc, but with a slightly higher PLH. The wing is also a little more curved than the D2. I measured it with a caliper at about 22.3mm, so actually slightly less than the other 2 discs which are an even 23. Dome is pretty mild.

Flight: It flies just like its competition. At around 400ft of power it shows mild turn and a solid fade. Glide was average, nothing out of the ordinary there. I don’t normally carry 12+ speed discs, so it may not actually make my bag, but I can safely say that if I wanted Destroyer-like flight with MVP plastic, this is the disc.
