Congrats, you found it!!!! The most underated disc on Earth. 

I own multiple K3 Kaxes, K1 Kaxes, and K1 Kaxe Zs. I also own hundreds of other discs. My favorite disc out of all of them -- my entire collection -- is the K3 Kaxe. 

It leaves my hand as a stable/straight flyer -- straigher than a Teebird -- with a fairly strong diving-but-forward fade that makes it very accurate and reliable. The fade is like a mild Firebird rather than a swooping glidey hook.  

I can't speak to every K3, but mine are definitely way more (over)stable than my K1s. It's not close, and it's even obvious upon inspection that the wing on the K3s is significantly higher.  The K3 plastic is also better for grip than the K1.  And the K3 has a flatter flight plate.  I feel very confident gripping and ripping this thing backhand and forehand. 

This discs handles a little anny beautifully, but it's not overstable enough at high speeds to compensate for sloppy anny forehands with little spin. It's not a meathook disc out of the hand. 

This is definitely faster than anything I call a mid-range, and because I can deliver so much power with the superior grip, it competes with my 7-speed discs for distance, especially ones with similar stability. Kastplast's control drivers are 9-speeds, and it makes sense when you have a Kaxe in the bag, too; because the Kaxe is basically covering the gap between midranges and 9-speeds.

My K1 Kaxes have more dome, more glide, have less high speed stability and less low speed stability.  My K1 Kaxe Zs have much more glide and are way less stable ... more like 6, 6, -1, 1 

K3 is easily my favorite plastic on the market. 

There is a reason everybody recommends Kastaplast plastic and it is because of the Kaxe and Berg. The K3 plastic is super grippy and beats in just fine, I wouldn't call this a '3' fade disc in K3 plastic, maybe more a '2'. When you throw this disc you know you're going to get  a consistent fade with a hard stop just like the Berg. 

I've been a big fan of the Kastaplast K1 and K1 plastics for a while now.  Hadn't, until recently, been given an opportunity to try the K3.  Love how it somehow is both grippy and premium feeling in the same space.  

I really love how easy to control this one is.  I use it a lot in slightly more open woods areas when I need to control my shot but aren't in the ultra tight wooded areas.  Its a great disc with some movement on it.  I still prefer different discs for the flat, straight stuff but the Kaxe is a permanent resident in my bag.  Much prefer it in the K3 now but have nothing bad to say about K1

The kaxe is a staple in my bag. When I'm in between discs, I just simply choose the kaxe. It's great for placement shots where you need to control your distance, but don't want to sacrifice too much distance by choosing a slower midrange. It also cuts through wind better than a lot of mids! Being a 6 speed, it kinda doubles as a overstable mid and a stable fairway. I've tried them in all plastics and if I were to recommend one to start, it would definitely be K3.

K3
Often times baseline plastics can beat in too quickly, but man, k3 beats in so wonderfully. The grip gives me a lot of confidence. grippy yet firm. For me, it still has a consistent fade but has gotten more glidey after throwing it for a bit. At some point, I'm sure it will get straighter and straighter. I'm definitely looking forward to that. Also, the stamp is favorite. :) 

K1 Soft
They weren't kidding when they said soft! It's gummier than the gstar discs I've felt. I love this disc and even got my first ace with it. Mine is less stable than both my K1 and even my K3 when new. It's a bit more workable on different line because of that. Don't get me wrong though, it still has plenty of fade for me. I like to use it for shorter approaches where I need the disc to stop quickly. Since it's so flexible, it seems to absorb plenty of ground action. It's not as resistant to wind though. 


K1
Haven't thrown this too much since it's just a bit too overstable for me. Also, I'm still working to beat in my K3. That said, no plastic I've ever touched has felt better. If you're looking for stability, definitely get in K1! 

I love K3 plastic for my putters, but never thought I'd like it for anything faster, however it quickly became my favorite plastic for the Kaxe / Kaxe Z. K3 feels amazing and is really only a base plastic in name only; beats in nice without getting chunks taken out of it. Excellent feel in my grip and performs how you would expect a more OS Kaxe Z to perform. 

Only qualm I have is the fact that there is a bead despite the infinite description stating it's beadless. It's definitely not as big a bead as that of a Roc, but more along the lines of the small bead on the Reko. I typically avoid beaded discs due to finding them uncomfortable, but the difference in grip feel between this and my Kaxe Z (beadless) isn't very significant. 

I have the K1, K1 soft, and K3 Kaxe - this review is for the K3. I typically stick to K1 and K1 soft for my discs as I love premium plastic, but this disc in K3 is amazing and is changing my mind about baseline plastics in general. The K3 plastic is the best baseline plastic out there in my opinion, and the feel of this disc in K3 is much different than the K1 (in a good way). It fits well in the hand and is very grippy. As for the flight, it is super reliable. The K3 definitely starts more over-stable than its K1 counterparts. I have played about 10 rounds with it and its flight has not changed at all, but from my research I understand it will beat into a straight flier - to me this is a perk because when it beats into straight I can grab another for that reliable fade. Its a super versatile, reliable disc that you can trust to throw on any line. I have seen a lot of teebird/roc baby comparisons, and I would agree. For me, my K1 soft Kaxe Z and K3 Kaxe can cover every mid-range and fairway shot needed on a course. Highly recommend!

I have thrown the Kaxe in both K1 and K3 plastic. They flew similarly when new, but for sure the K3 will beat in faster. The Kaxe is a weird disc. It's definitely a tweener between a fairway driver and a midrange. I did not care for it because of this. I thought that it flew worse than a midrange on midrange throws, and worse than a fairway on fairway throws. However, it's not a bad disc. It's got the stability of a teebird and is slower with less glide. So if you're trying to carry a small bag of discs, this is a versatile disc that can hit that midrange and fairway driver slot, but just not as good as if you carried a midrange and a fairway with this stability. 

This is my second Kaxe, and I wanted to check out the K3 plastic.  Similar in feel to Classic blend, but it also feels like a KONG dog toy.  As far as the mold goes, it is great and fills a nice slot in the midrange tier in my bag.

Despite way may show, I give this disc a 4 out of 5.

The K3 plastic feels phenomenal, a little soft and grippy. Amazingly it's also pretty durable. I definitely hit a few trees with this, but short of some scratches it held up really really well.

The Kaxe is definitely a beefy midrange. I went into it thinking I was gonna throw it like my Verdict and it wasn't the case.  I struggled a bit at first because it was a bit more overstable feeling than I expected, but got a feel for how to use it.  The softer grippy plastic also threw me off when it came to expecting skips that weren't happening, so this will stick a bit better than other discs.

I would definitely recommend this disc for anyone looking for a really overstable mid or utility because this one is great.  I found a use for it with my mid arm speed and can definitely see where anyone could find a use for this disc whether it is as a utility disc or a great wind fighter.  We also reviewed this disc on Ep.11 of the Big Daddy disc golf podcast. 

I love this disc!

I like it's shallow rim, which makes it feel more like a driver than a mid range. Given that I can throw it a bit farther than a typical midrange. I love how dependably stable it is. I can really rip on it and it holds straight and fights back left. I was able to get a max distance of about 340-350ish with it , but that was with a little bit of anhyzer throwing it as hard as I could. Thrown flat, it will glide for a bit and finish hard left, around 300ish feet if thrown with enough power. 

This handles forehand throws really well too! All around really great feel and disc for an overstable mid/fairway slot.
