The Innova RocX3 is the most overstable version of the popular Roc midrange. Compared with other Roc versions, the X3 has a low profile and hefty rim that provide it with extra stability. Innova claims that this is the ideal midrange for windy conditions and forehand throws. Power throwers love the consistency and control.

I throw a lot of Roc's and Roc3's and have for a long time, so I was excited to try this "overstable" version. Mine is a 180g F2 Star and it flies true to the numbers and description. In my hand, it feels just like any other Roc3 with maybe a slightly flatter top. Thrown flat and hard, it goes dead straight (like a Roc3) 250-275 ft with a sharp fade at the end. Like any overstable disc without a lot of glide, thrown on a hyzer, this thing wants to find the ground. And in the Star plastic, when it does find the ground, it stays there. I've rarely seen it skip or roll. I find myself using it for anhyzer flex lines a lot. With enough room, I can definitely rely on it to fade out of its turn.

I have never bagged an overstable mid before. There just weren't a ton of shots that I couldn't use a firebird or overstable putter, and when I did need it, I always used my most unseasoned Roc. This disc flies similar to that, but I expect it won't lose its overstability. I've been using it for 3 months several times a week and it still has the original flight.
