The Alter is a very comfortable putter if you want a shallow beaded putter.  After using Wizards for several years for putting, I was looking for something not quite as deep that I could get a better grip on.  The Alter is that and more.  Despite being shallow, it still has considerable glide and can still be used to run longer putts.

The nerve plastic is great and not so great at the same time. It provides incredible grip even while wet and in the cold but it beats in really quick and you'll notice lots of dings and scuffs even after a round or two.  Since I'm using it for putting it doesn't matter that much to me but if you were going to pick one up for a throwing putter be warned the life expectancy of this disc will probably be shorter than others.

Very nice feel, almost a mix between a normal putter and a "floppy" or rubber disc. I bought it to try out more discs made by this company and they didn't disappoint. I haven't done much throwing with it, as I tested it primarily as a putting putter. It was interesting, but not something that I will keep in my bag unfortunately. I think the biggest thing this disc has going for it is the feel, which might just be what some people want. (Firm and rubber feel). Worth a try for sure.

I think the alter was my favorite putter between the muse and just based on hand feel. I really like beaded putters for my kind of spin putt and overall it felt better to me in my hands than the muse. It was a great straight flier that could handle my spin pretty well even with being a beat up putter. I really like the nerve plastic for putting putters but could see the wear and tear factor that comes with it to be a slight problem. I think the alter would become my upshot understable machine as I could forehand and backhand a super beat up one like no other. It had enough glide and straight flight to be exactly what I want for 100 ft upshots. If you are a newer player this disc will feel like a cheat code because it will not fly that overstable for you and give you some great distance. For more intermediate to advanced players you can trust this disc to be straight to understable. I think for the first beaded putter in the thought space lineup they hit it out of the park with the alter. I have been tempted to completely switch over and start putting with alters but have not fully decided.

Plastic feels nice(almost like rubber), shallow disc with bead similar to link.

Massive puddle top I would prefer not to be there on this disc - disc resembles a berg with such a large concave. Will avoid Nerve plastic for now, appears to be easily warped but good mold overall.

The Alter feels great in hand, its pretty shallow and has a very large bead, many of them I saw were slightly puddle topped as well. They are a pretty glidey point and shoot putter inside the circle, you will see the stability kick in a little more from C2.

This "new" Nerve plastic as seen on the Temple is much grippier than the older mix used on the Muse's. This makes for excellent grip in all conditions and nice clean releases for spin putters. I do have some concerns on the longevity however of the new Nerve blend as it is already showing a lot of wear after just a few putting sessions.
