The F Model US is another understable disc in the Prodigy Ace Line. While a speed-10 disc is typically considered more of a distance driver, this disc is designed to be handled by intermediate or new players with a straight-to-understable flight path that handles like a fairway driver.

I found the F-Model US to be a good, high-quality disc.  It has good speed and glide.  When thrown hard and flat or on a slight anhyzer release the disc will travel very far on a straight flight path and then finish with a moderately strong fade.

The disc is supposed to be a fairway driver, however it feels and flies more like a max distance driver.  It has a very wide rim with a narrow edge and the disc is fairly shallow.  The rim also has a slight groove underneath (the D-model US does not have this groove).  It's not my favorite disc to hold from a comfort standpoint but I got used to it very quickly.  I really like the feel of the DuraFlex plastic, it has a good amount of grip and the flex plastic still feels relatively stiff which I like in a driver.

My main issue with this disc is that it's really not understable at all and getting the disc to show any turn in its flight path is pretty difficult for me.  For a disc described as having a -2 turn it doesn't seem to move much to the right at high speeds (RHBH).  When thrown at high speeds it does straighten out nicely and get lots of glide and distance before fading to the left.  I have an intermediate arm and throw about 320 - 360.

I think this disc is capable of making long flex shots but it requires a fairly big arm.  The disc really feels like it can take a lot of power, especially for a fairway driver.  I'm going to keep throwing this disc and as my distance and form improves I hope I'll be able to get a little more out of this F-Model US.

Very overstable with a huge fade, and less glide than I'd hoped. This one throws like a brand new overstable Thunderbird. I also hit a patch of gravel on about the 5th throw and it put a huge knick in the rim. I have been wanting an understable fairway and/or driver from Prodigy because I like their plastic and numbering system. They apparently don't make anything understable besides the Pa4 and M4. All the fairways and drivers would take a years worth of abuse before getting straight to understable flights. I'm pretty frustrated at this point. I've tried the D4 max, X5, F3, and the F5. The F5 is finally straightening out after having it nearly a year. I was excited about the F Model US only to be faked out again!

It's not understable. The F model S is more understable than the F model US (supposedly Understable is what US stands for). So I'm giving it 3 stars because it isn't what it is advertised to be.

The rim on this is out, it has a lot of curvature to it, doesn't feel uncomfortable, but it's not pleasant in the hand. Flight is consistent, with a straight portion of flight and a healthy amount of fade towards the end of the flight. I thought the disc was a good flier, but not worth the weird feeling rim and not at all understable.

I'm not sure if there was a naming issue or a stamping issue, but the F Model US disc I threw definitely was not "UnderStable" which is what I would assume the "US" means. It feels like a good disc with a nice profile, but definitley flies more like a Firebird than a beginner-friendly disc. I give four stars for the great feel of the disc. While I like the flight, I feel like it needs a star removed for the confusing naming. Maybe this is something that will be worked out later (like the "OS" discs accidentally got stamped with a "US" stamp at the factory and they just ran with it). We'll see.

Good overstable disc for forehands and a powerful backhand throw, with a definite end fade for a guy like me who throws max distance in the 300's (feet). I can crank it as hard as I want and it still fades back.
