what a shame that lightning disc are no longer in production. the texas based company made disc for a long time, entering the market not far behind innova about 1983. this disc was originally called the lightning P38 and was retooled i'm sure since it was first released about 1984. it was the first disc to be thrown over the 600 ft mark in 1987.  lightning disc are much different than modern disc that use massive overstableness to obtain distance. not everyone can throw with the power needed to activate those modern overstable disc. this leads to new players giving up when they can't figure out how to straighten out their throws, or they lose a disc that cost $20 + . lightning disc were great for beginners and kids as well as pro's who could master the unique release many of them take to get them to fly as intended.  lightnings base plastic was dirt cheap and it didn't hurt so bad losing a disc you bought brand new for $7. i hope someone will recognize the important role lightning disc played in making disc golf great " for everyone " and start producing them again. i started playing disc golf using many lightning disc. along the way, i learned to throw every brand the market threw at the sport. but have alway's had a soft spot for these disc. now that i'm getting close to 60 years old i find myself wanting to fill my disc bag with these again, but i can only fill it with old beat up disc because there are no new ones....

I love throwing this disc as you can throw any type of shot with it (roller, tomahawk, and great for forehand).  Only problem is it is a cheap plastic and gets beat in very easily.  For the price it is worth a shot.  Definitely not a driver but a longer mid.
