The Ghost is an overstable midrange disc with a healthy amount of glide. The Ghost has a substantial amount of low speed fade. This disc is good for accurate approach shots, when you account for the hooking flight pattern.

Ghost is a reliable mostly straight flying mid range. The Excel plastic is decent for a base plastic and the stamp is pretty cool. Good disc to learn angle control with. Would be a good disc for beginners.

I love this disc. As it beat in it started to become more stable than overstable, but i would rate it as overstable to stable as it ages. Super fun to throw, but does not do well in high wind. I would recomend as a stable mid range with a good glide.

I have a 175 Excel and 175 Protege Ghost.  Bought the Excel because I wanted to get one beaten in very quickly to become my straight/understable mid to pair with the fresh protege.  However, much to my surprise, my excel is beating in much slower than the normal DX I was used to with Rocs.  Looks like I might not get to toss the Protege for another year because over this summer the Excel is still performing amazingly.  With an X Comet, Excel Ghost, and a Protege Ghost I've got all I need for my mid coverage.  Getting a Gator type disc if you need to, but I'm covered with a zone/firebird and a hyzer flipped Protege Ghost has been plenty stable for me.  Unlike Rocs, I'm not running out to get backups for these for stability staging, only for me losing them.  My only criticism is that just like Rocs, these are not a 0/3 for turn/fade even at my 250ft midrange arm.  Both plastics have been a 4/5/0/2 for me, maybe even a 1.5 for fade.
