This is a very neutral putter from Kastaplast.  The Reko has a rounded rim with a very small bead and is comfortable in the hand for putting.  

As a throwing putter, is where the Reko truly shines.  It will hold straight for as far as you can throw a putter, with a gentle forward fade.  When put on a hyzer, it will hold the line allowing for a nice sweeping hyzer shot.  When thrown on an anhyzer, it will hold the line for most of the flight before it slowly fights back to flat.

The Reko is a very neutral-flying beadless putter.  I was interested in trying it out as more of a throwing putter since I prefer using a beaded putter for my actual putting duties.  The Reko is somewhat shallow but has a chunky feeling rim that fills up my hand when I throw it backhand.  It is a very point and shoot type of disc, it generally holds whatever line you put it on and has very minimal fade.  This would be a good disc for beginners who are working on their form.  The K1 plastic feels soft and grippy, it is very good.  I found that the Reko has a little less glide than some other throwing putters I've tried, it doesn't stay in the air for too long which can be useful for controlled shots, but not great for longer straight holes where a glidier throwing putter might be useful.  I also found this disc to have a little bit of turn to its flight, maybe -.5 or -1 turn.  It didn't hold up too well in the wind.  Solid putter, but a little short on distance and not reliable enough in the wind to make my bag.

I give this 5 stars as a throwing putter. I personally didn't like putting with it in K3 plastic because it didn't have much glide. However, throwing it off the tee in K1 is a dream. It goes dead straight and won't flip over on you. It also seems to be more glidey in K1 premium plastic than in the K3 base plastic.

I'm a newer player and I've experimented with about 10 different putting putter molds before landing on the Reko as my putter of choice. The Reko just feels wonderful to hold compared to other putters. The flat top, low profile, and super smooth, rounded rim make the disc feel great in the hand. The Reko is listed as a beaded disc, but I don't notice much of a bead. I prefer that micro-bead or breadless feel over other putters with a noticeable bead. I tend to use other discs for approach shots, but the Reko is enjoyable to throw as well. The K1 plastic seems to be able to take a beating. It looks slick, but it has a decent grippy feel to it. At some point I'd like to try the K3 plastic to compare the difference. All in all, The Reko is a great feeling disc!

I have already given the K3 Reko a 5 star review as a putting putter. It's been my primary putter for a year now and I don't see myself changing anytime soon. This is the first putter I have meshed with in 15+ years of playing.

This review isn't for the K3 Reko though. Let's talk about the K1 Reko.

The Reko is a very neutral to stable driving putter and can be a workhorse for a beginner or professional.

I have been throwing Envies as my driving putter for a few years now. I had a fairly large stack and never thought I would replace them. Throughout the last year, I started throwing touchy upshots with my K3 Rekos and the results were so good that I decided to try a K1 as a driving putter. The K1 Reko has helped unlock a touch part of my game I didn't know I had. My biggest weakness has always been 200-300 ft tight wooded gaps and never had a go to disc in these spots. That all changed since I started throwing Rekos. They aren't as stable as an Envy but are easier to control and I'm able to thread a needle with them for short to medium drives. I'm not sure if I'm ready to complete cycle out my Envies for the Reko, but it's getting closer and closer each passing round. 

175g K1 and K3 Plastics - Reviewed as a throwing putter

Summary: The K1 Reko fills my straight/stable spot in the bag and the K3 shows a hint of turn since its worn in a bit. Super straight and very accurate to the flight numbers. Flat top with an evenly rounded rim and a tiny microbead. This disc is a win for me because the flat top and round rim give it a fantastic hand feel and smooth release, and the Kastaplast plastic is absolutely top tier.

Flight: My k1 Reko is straight even into a bit of wind. I can pretty much full throttle it without worrying about it turning. The 1 fade is dead on. It's just enough fade to keep you in check on flat release finishes, and it's perfect on anny lines when you want it to glide out at the end without either turning over and cut rolling at the finish, or fading out of the line too much. The K3 is a softer plastic that beats in quite a bit more which gives that Reko a tiny bit of turn. That one is more of a line shaper for me on patent pending shots and low ceiling approaches. They're both pretty much point and shoot.

Feel: So good. The plastic is nuts, any of it. Like seriously, I'm considering calling it the best overall plastics line from one brand. Every plastic they've got is spot on. As a mold, the reko is my favorite throwing putter. I threw the axiom envy and proxy for years in this 3 speed slot, but the Reko feels so much better in my opinion. The flat top, round rim, and tiny microbead are so perfect. I'm a big fan.

These kinda remind me of my judges but in way nicer feeling plastic. Love kastaplast. Reko is very reliable and makes a great putting or throwing putter. 

The Reko is $$$ all around. I use the K3 Reko for putting. After trying around 20 different putter molds to find what worked best, the Reko won out. However, This review is for the K1 Reko. The flight of the K1 Reko is just beautiful. I have smaller hands, and the rim is not too deep for me to find a comfortable grip. The K1 plastic also just has a great feel in general - grippy in all conditions and just flexible enough. I get a very neutral flight out of this disc. I can throw this hard with a little hyzer angle and get a straight flight that pans a bit right before finishing with a little fade. I occasionally pull this out for an upshot, and it works well for that also, but I think it shines as a driving putter. Last week, I pulled this out on a hole that I normally throw a 6 speed disc on, and I threw the Reko hard and parked it. I highly recommend this as a putting and driving putter for beginners or anyone searching for that illusive perfect putter.

Reko is a super fun disc. I love it in K1 plastic, and am looking forward to trying a Reko in other plastic types. I primarily use this disc for forehand approach shots. It has a nice glide, and doesn't carry too far. This disc is super consistent and the Kastaplast plastic feels so good in my hand. Strongly recommended that you check this disc out!

I use the Reko for both my putting putter and my throwing putter. And while putters are a very subjective thing, I would definitely recommend giving it a try. I have found that they hold any line that you put them on and can be thrown dead straight with relative ease. I find that I can consistently throw it a little over 200ft from a standstill (BH) and trust it in the tight woods to go were I am aiming. It can also take a forehand as well.

K1 plastic is beautiful with greater durability than Champion or Lucid plastics with more grip too.

K3 is more like an XT or Classic level plastic with pretty good durability as well. 

K3 - love this as my putting putter. I push putt and I find that the slight concave helps me add spin with my thumb. The texture is phenomenal. Firm but slightly flexy. I saw someone describe it as almost like velvet which is pretty accurate. It feels like there is a micrometer-level thickness of plush-ness that is pretty luxurious to the touch.

K1 - I recently added this to my bag as a throwing putter and approach disc. So far really great. Straight with some fade. Add some anhyzer and it'll gently hook up. As with the K3, there is a plush-ness to the feel. 

Love both! 

Excellent low-profile putter from Kastaplast. If you like your putters on the slimmer/more shallow side then definitely look into a Reko; closest comparison I can make is that of a Westside Maiden. I spent a good while trying out all sorts of different putting putters and actually pulled the trigger on a stack on Lunas before trying the Reko. However while the Luna is a fantastic putter in its own right, the Reko just fit my hand perfectly and the K3 plastic is legitimately some of the best I've felt. Currently using the Reko as my putting putter (K3) as well as a Berg for approach shots (K1).

The Reko is a stellar putter. It puts well and it throws well. Kastaplast has taken the strategy to fill their lineup first with incredibly versatile discs, and the Reko covers a large swath of what you need to fill the putter slot. The K1 plastic and K3 plastic are both premier plastics in the game. If you are seeking to have 1 mold that can cover most of what you want a putter to be, the Reko is one of the very best in the game. Medium height, microbead (feels beadless) and flat top. It's comfortable in the hand and has a neutral consistent flight. 

I have been throwing and putting with Reko's for about a year now and have finally come to some conclusions. 

Key Takeaway: I like throwing them more than I like putting with it.

Profile: Nice rounded edge with micro-bead. Fairly flat to puddle top. I have smaller hands and have to power-fan grip the Reko to avoid it tipping, but it is very comfortable.

Flight:  Not too much glide. Very predictable and holds a good line on any angle. Great when throwing 100 to 200 feet. Other people with more power can get more out of it for sure due to stability. Less glide and a little deeper profile than I like is causing me to drift away from it for putting, but the K3 plastic is so nice that I am sticking with them until I try out replacements.

K1-Glow - A tad more stable than regular K1 with. glow/grip/ and durability are excellent. What I would reccomend. 

K1 - Great feeling plastic. A good choice.

K3- Such comfortable plastic, its wonderful. Beats in to a dead straight approach disc.

Its not perfect for me, but its still a well made disc. Very consistent production quality too

I found this disc in a non-disc golf area without a name, so it wound up with me.

I play MVP, Steamline, and Axiom, but I wanted to post a review about this disc because it's so awesome.

The first thing I noticed is that it feels great. K1 plastic is like the best of all plastic worlds. 

When I throw this, it flies very similar to a Streamline Stabilizer crossed with a McBeth Luna. Nice stable finish at low speeds, long straight shots at higher speeds. Doesn't really turn over unless you tell it to.

The thing that really turned me on the most is the glow. This is by far the best glow plastic I've ever seen. The one I found was in the sun and it was around 2pm. Later that night at my place when I was ready to go to sleep around midnight, I saw a glow in my living room and I thought I left the computer on. Nope, it was this disc, still charged up from the afternoon. All glow discs should be like this but most of them start losing their glow after a few minutes.

Anyway, it feels great, flies great, and glows great. I'll be using this for glow season in place of my Streamline Stabilizer and possibly the Pilot because even though Streamline makes excellent discs, the glow intensity and duration need som serious work.

In fact, I might pick up a few Klastiplast discs just for glow play.

Give this a try if you're looking for a great stable putt and approach disc. My day bag will always have my Ohm in it, but the Reko will probably be my go to disc for glow play.

I recently got a Kastaplast K1 Reko and it is BOSS!!! I can throw it flat and 40% power and it will go dead straight 250 feet. I can also crush it out there on a baby hyzer and it will flip up and goooooooo....... I haven't thrown it for pure distance yet but i might be able to get close to 400 feet with it. very straight, and for those who have 500 foot power like me, this is definitely not too understable considering the torque that players like me are able to put on a disc. LOVE IT!!!

This disc kicked the Luna out of the bag in my driving putter slot. They have very similar flights: dead straight and very far. The plastic was the deciding factor. K1 plastic feels amazing and is incredibly durable. I also bad a second Reko in k1 glow for hyzer finishes, and plan to acquire a k3 Reko for anhyzer finishes. Bonus points for not needing to chase down a limited release to get the disc in a premium plastic.

Let me first say I love the plastic. I however don't love the overall design and feel of this disc. I think it's lower glide then some others say. It flies more like a Rhyno I think. Mine is K1 with maybe a slight puddle. It feels deeper then the specs as well, more so then a Pure or Deputy.

You may love the disc, it's not really for me. 

This was my first Kastaplast disc, and it’s been my putting putter ever since. It can hyzer putt, anhyzer putt, and fly straight perfectly well. It flies bullet straight with very little fade when I release it well from distance. The K1 plastic has been amazingly durable. It has scratches, but no dings or chunks from trees. Will buy again (and have)!

I bought a Reko in K1 plastic and liked it so much that I also bought it in K3. I kept hearing about Klastaplast discs and thought I would try out the Reko because I wanted to try out another throwing putter. I love the feel of both the K1 and K3 plastics and the rim as well. It is a nice medium depth rim that feels perfect to me- very similar to how a Westside Shield feels, not deep, not shallow. The K1 is gummy but still fairly firm and the K3 is tacky and medium-soft firmness. For throwing off the tee or approach shots the K1 is beautiful. It has enough stability to throw fairly hard, it has nice glide and finishes a small amount of fade. I would compare it to a Latitude 64 Pure. I like the K3 for putting because it has a nice grippy feel and just a tiny microbead which makes it comfortable in my hand. Overall, very stoked about my Rekos and excited to try out the Berg next!

I actually have this disc in both the K1 premium plastic, and the K3 base plastic.

The K3 has some of the best grip of any plastic I have used. It reminds me of the Medium blend from DD/WS/L64 or XT from Innova. I changed my putting putters to the K3 Reko's about 6 months ago from the Westside Shield and it's been a wonderful transition. The Reko has very nice hand feel with a very rounded nose.

None of the discs I have purchased for the Reko have had puddle tops, all have been board straight. Highly recomend this for anyone who likes Wizards or Shields for putting. 

This disc is amazing. It's my go to putter, and it's also my go to approach disc. You can really put some power on this disc and it will just go straight. It's very similar to a warden in terms of depth and control. k3 is super grippy when wet, and k1's plastic is very resilient.(and also my favorite) 

The first disc golf putter was the Aviar, and since it came out, all putters can be called Aviar-like or not Aviar like. The Kastaplast Berg is very Not Aviar Like, but the Reko is Aviar like. The size and feel in the hand are quite similar and will feel good for everyone who likes Aviar like discs. The rim is, of course, slightly different, and the top is flatter, sometimes even being a little puddle topped.

In the K1 plastic it is a great driving putter, it will fly straight with a moderate, dependable fade. In K3 plastic it is more of a true putter, more grippable, and soft enough to absorb the kinetic energy of hitting chains, so less bounce outs than harder plastics.

The only issue I have with disc is that it has too much glide for what I like. On many long putts it just floats over the basket and keeps going, so I'm sticking to the Berg as my primary putter.

As a driving putter and touch approach disc, the Reko is one of the best.

The Reko is my favorite disc. I was using a Colt for putting duties (after having gone through phases with the Wizard, Aviar, Judge, and Warden). The K1 plastic is amazing, as is the pink color (it really stands out in the woods). In fact, everyone I show it to inquires about where they can get one (and I send them to ID).

This, to me, has a similar flight pattern to the Colt, but with more glide. I don't use it for driving, so I don't know its characteristics for longer shots (my longest throws are just over 300', so I need all the distance help I can get for my long shots). But, on putts from about 25-60', I have holed out with this disc more than any other because I put it on a line and it glides right into the chains.

I started turbo putting with the Reko about three months ago, and the rim, depth, and size really make it ideal for my hand size (your results may vary). I haven't found another disc that comes out like a dart and glides to the basket like this one. If you are into turbo putting, I'd give this one a try.

In short, I like other Kastaplast molds, but if you only try one, make it a Reko!

This is my main driving or approach putter. (I use a voodoo for actual in-the-basket putting...)  I was very pleasantly surprised at how straight and reliable this flies!  I can get mine to glide a little bit more than the listed "3" and for me, I notice almost no fade at all at the end of a flight.  This disc is money for finding lines through tight gaps or gentle, floating approaches from 150 feet on in.  I also can't say enough good things about the K1 plastic, it's the absolute best stuff on the market!!

So I played my 2nd full round with the Reko today - I'm using it as my putting putter.  I shot a personal best -6, thanks in large part to being lights out inside the circle and chipping in 3 40-50 footers.  I know a lot of people say it's more of a driving putter, but this one is never going to be thrown that way - maybe I'll get another one to drive with.  I have tried Judges, Aviars, KC Pros, Hunters, and Clutches for at least a month each and the Reko without a doubt is the most comfortable in the hand and has the best feel.  Love it. 

Oh the REKO!  You have to feel this dsic. The k1 is amazing.  Super grippy but not so grippy that the putter gets stuck in your hands.  Just the perfect plastic blend.  This is a stable straight putter.  It's crazy I can throw this a full power, it' holds the straight line and never really fades at the end.  Just dead straigh the entire way.  It holds hyzer lines, anny lines.  This is quickly becoming one of my favorite discs.

Great putter for drives and putts.  Somewhere between my Whales and Wizards in flight (though both of those have less turn IMHO).  Feels really good in hand with its low profile and shallow rim.  It releases super clean.  Despite more turn than flight chart my K1 Reko holds lines you pick with just a hint of fade at the end.  It kicked XT and GStar Whales out of my bag already.  It pairs nicely with Kastaplast's other putter, the Berg, which has less glide, more HSS but similar fade.  An all Kastaplast bag is getting closer to a very viable possibility (just a long, overstable, fairway driver away).

One of my top 5 favorite discs.

K1 173g. The Reko is an amazing driving putter. I wanted something a little more stable than my pure and this fits the bill exactly. The Reko is a very straight thrower that will end with just a touch of fade. It really won't flip over unless you do something wrong, but it also isn't going to fade hard. That makes it the perfect driving putter for me. 

In field work my Reko is consistently one of, if not the closest to the basket up to 250 feet and I really trust it to do exactly what I want on every throw. Kastaplast continues to put out great discs and excellent plastic.

I got the Reko to replace my MVP Anode as a driving putter and I love it. I cannot believe how similiarly it flies, but with more reliable lines. My Anode would flip on me a lot if I threw it just a tad too hard. But this Reko is simply amazing. It'll go exactly where you want it to go with 98% reliability. I would highly reccommend this disc.
