Very OS, great for strong headwind shots.

The Rask is the only disc I have felt that has a rim inside the rim of the disc. I love the inner rim for the way I grip my forehand however I do not like the rim for a backhand grip hence why I have taken a star off my review of this product. However, that is the only gripe I have. The plastic is awesome and as far as an overstable utility driver goes it does its job amazingly. Can chop down a forehand as hard as you want and it will fight back to fade quickly into an aggressive dive back into the earth. 

Switched to forehand due to a right knee injury and basically lost all of my backhand distance in one go. I picked up a Z-version Rask and it broke all of my distance records on forehand and crushed my current/prior backhand distance on the first try. On backhand unless your throwing it upside down or a fat hyzer bomb I wouldn't recommend it. On forehand if you power grip it and don't stack your fingers it comes out hot like a lazer-beam and when it hits the ground its so fast its almost guaranteed to roll or skip (for me) increasing distance even further. I wouldn't recommend for any beginner unless you've got a very powerful forehand or you need a utility disc for overhead rollers or thumbers through trees.

The Rask is one of a kind.  There aren't many discs that look and feel as different as this disc does and I think it is one of the best discs you can have for forehand shots.  The double rim is the perfect distance to have one finger on both rims and a very comfortable release.  I use this when I need more distance than a firebird and less than a destroyer.  I believe the flight numbers are way less extreme than they suggest as I don't feel like this is a meat hook, nor does the disc fall out of the sky as the glide suggests. So I adjusted the flight numbers to be more firebird-like at a slightly higher speed.   I have used both the K1 and Glow '21 and didn't notice too much of a difference but the glow is slightly more understable. 

This thing feels FUUUNNNNNKY -- but I dig it. The disc has an inner and outer rim on the underside so when you forehand grip your two fingers kinda sit in their own track. It is super fast and for most people including myself it'll be more of a utility disc. But it's so fun to throw I'll probably bag it in the long run. May fill a similar slot to innova Excaliber for bigger arms although I don't know if it has as much glide. It kinda flies like a sawblade which I don't hate haha. 

IMO the Rask is the definitive "get out of jail free card" disc. It's a great tool to have when you're jammed up behind some trees or dealing with another obstacle and need to go with a FH flick to get out of trouble. A few months ago I would've said this was the most overstable disc you'll ever throw, but then the Tilt happened; it's not that OS, but not too far behind. 

The Rask feels awesome in my hand and is a lot of fun to throw FH due to the flat top and second rim on the underside of the flight plate. I was skeptical at first, but it feels so good with a FH stacked grip; the second rim gives your index finger another rim to press into and it wasn't something I thought I'd like until I tried it. It also goes without saying that Kastaplast's K1 plastic is the best in the business right now; super durable and soft yet grippy. This won't be a disc that you go to for max distance or even one that you'll likely throw all that often, but it's one of the most unique utility discs you can bag. 

Such a weird disc. I love it and I hate it all at the same time. I can drive pretty well with "normal" drivers, hitting 325 to 375 usually with 400+ being my best drives. I cannot throw the Rask past about 270 feet. When it flies, it's by far the fastest disc I have ever watched fly. It doesn't slow down even the slightest as it rockets toward the destination, but it will only go as far as you can throw it, and not much further. The Rask goes nowhere fast.

Out of my hand on a backhand throw, the disc almost immediately starts to fade after just a few feet, and as it leans more and more, the fade just increases. I doubt anyone would ever be able to turn this thing over. This is a reliable disc if ever there was one.

I got this because the dual rim seemed very interesting. From the side, this looks very much like a flat-top firebird... almost identical. I wanted to try it for thumbers and tomahawks. While it doesn't fly like I hoped it would, I am also not disappointed. The disk maintains that same speed when thrown overhand, and can be bombed for 250+ pretty easily. There is almost no left-right variance and the disc flies along the trajectory for a long way, then doesn't an almost immediate flip and dives at the ground hard and FAST. 

I was hoping the disc would flip mid-way during an overhand throw, and get some extra glide, but so far I have not gotten it to do so. It keeps seeming like it wants to, and I am hoping one day it will, and that it will get some insane distance, but in the meantime, this is competing for my utility overhand slot with my Firebird (distance) and my TL (placement). This seems to be right in the middle of the other two, and has not surpassed either slot yet.

Okay,  A. This Disc is too overstable and too fast for me and B. I Love this disc!

This Disc is very fast and super overstable, that being said it is my favorite utility disc. I use it mainly for thumbers and tomahawks, overhand throws, and for that it serves its purpose beautifully. I average 350' drives and I can get about 250' with an overhand throw with this disc. For Thumbers, Grenades etc. it is super reliable. There is no way anyone could flip this disc! I dont think there is a bigger meathook out there.

The shape of the inside of the disc is also unique, it has sort of a beveled ring on the inside that is actually very comfortable when throwing forhand, gives my index finger a great resting place to get extra torque on the disc.

Picked up the Rask on a whim, not really knowing what I was getting. After a few throws on the practice field it was obvious I had a VERY overstable disc on my hands. The Rask is a pretty massive meathook and absolutely thrives in headwinds. Unlike some other overstable discs, the Rask has the speed to knife right through headwinds without losing distance. Glide is minimal. Whatever distance the Rask gets is based purely on its ability to cut effortlessly through the air.

Much faster than most other overstable offerings. I immediately put this disc in the bag and it competes well with my champion XCal. The Rask is faster than the XCal, however. Its basically like throwing a saw blade with the lack of glide.

The Rask is not a major distance disc. It fades almost immediately after you release it. I can't recommend this disc to beginners at all. Its an advanced level disc for players who throw hard and want a disc to cut through headwinds without getting tossed around.

On a side note, the plastic is gorgeous. Very shiny and somewhat gummy. Anyone looking for a fast, glideless overstable disc will love the Rask.

This is an awesome disc!  I love the plastic and the disc flies as advertised, OVERSTABLE.

This is an incredible get out of trouble disc for a forehand player.  The notch in the disc makes it somewhat uncomfortable in a backhand but very comfortable for a forehand.  You can get really creative with this disc and put a lot of angle on it and still expect it to come back.  I rarely ever pull it out, but it is 100% staying in my bag. 

I don't think the Rask gets enough love.  Its referenced as a baseline of sorts for very overstable drivers despite its lack of mainstream-ness.  Its also often referenced as one of the fastest, if not THE fastest, disc out there.  If you think fast equals distance then this is not fast.  But if you consider its speed in flight (even if it is going left RHBH) and the speed at which it smacks the earth's face upon landing...then yeah its maybe the fastest disc out there.  I LOVE this disc for BH and FH.  I like the double wing even though it obviously limits glide.  This disc is thin and flat and has an unequaled grip BH or FH due to that double wing.  And you can't say enough good things about Kastaplast plastics.  My Rask is now extremely beat-in from landings on rock and pavement and yet there remains zero turn and it has never rolled over.  Fade comes a little later but it still knifes in.  If it weren't going so fast at the end you could likely tombstone it on a anhyzer release.  I've thrown this full power flat into 30 mph headwinds and all it did was go further than it ever had before sticking the landing hard as normal.  Sky hyzer or FH roller in a hurricane?  No problem.  I use it like a long Discraft Flick...the other stupid overstable driver I always carry.  5 stars because there is nothing else like "it" and "it" is gooooood.

Amazing disc! It is incedibly fast, very overstable and will jump out of your hand like a rockett.

The odd little raised section of the disc, kills the glide, but ups the speed. I have not issues gripping the disc becuase of it, though my fingers are not thick. 

Amazing utility distance disc, you can easily flex it, and will always come back. 

If you are a beginner, don't buy it. It will turn left quicker than Jeff Gordon and leave you frustrated at the lack of disctace you get. 

For forehand dominate players or someone looking for a headwind disc, look no further. 

The rask is the most overstable disc I have ever thrown.  Its low sharp profile cuts through the air fast but don't think that means big distance because it also comes out into a fade line fast... if you release it flat it will hit the ground at a sharp angle and usually give you a nice big skip that flashes the chains dependably unless the green is thick zipper grass.  I use it for three shots: ultra hook/fade lines where you need to cut sharp angles, drives into monster headwinds or with scary OB where you need to be more sure than anything else that the disc is going to fade out to finish, and skip approaches.  

Use this disc the right way and it's money, but if you buy it hoping for glide and distance you're going to be dissapointed.  

I've let several of my friends who prefer to throw forehands give it a go and they love the feel of it because the double lip gives both fingers an edge to rest on creating an entirely unique feeling of control for flicks and they can't turn it over even with the added torque of a flick release so it's great for that use as well.  All are in agreement that the Rask is the most overstable disc they've ever tossed... SERIOUS overstability, which is a great thing for certain applications.

This thing is monster beefy. If you're looking for a good definition of very overstable, just try throwing the Kastaplast Rask. I played a Kataplast only round, and I was able to get more distance out of the midrange Kaxe Z than I was the Rask. This disc starts hooking hard  as soon as it leaves my hand. The only way I was able to get more than 300 feet distance with the Rask was by throwing it forehand at an extreme anhyzer angle and letting it come out of the anhyzer angle with a monster S curve.

The Kaxe has a unique lip right where you put your fingers. I was really concerned about the comfort of this lip, and it having a negative effect on my release, but it didn't. After a few throws, I didn't even think about it anymore for forehand and backhand throws.

K1 plastic is a a very premium blend. I'd say it's similar to Latitude 64 frost line. One unique thing about the Rask is the way the Kastaplast logo is engraved on the face of the disc. You can't see the engraved image on pictures very well, but there is a logo visible to the naked eye.

If you're looking for a meat hook ultra overstable distance driver, and want to throw something outside the norm, this is a fun disc to try.
