The Oxymoron is a twisted experiment in disc design. It is a square-shaped "disc" that is not PDGA approved because it is not the right shape for competitive disc golf. But that didn't stop Doomsday Discs from making them for entertainment purposes and casual rounds. It has a round inside rim on the bottom so that it feels more natural when gripped...well...as natural as you can get with a square disc. The square edges tend to give the "disc" extra helicopter-like lift as it spins in flight, making the disc rise as it flies.

I mean, what can I say, it's a square disc.... Super fun, great conversation starter and feels great. I have it in Isolation Glow, Clandestine and Survival. They are very flat and low profile and have many grip options due to the design on the bottom. Both forehand and backhand it flies very understable and has a Lift factor to it because of the (square) edges. The goal is to try and turf it while throwing nose down because no matter what, it will get to nose up and lift, and keep lifting. When thrown really hard you need a lot of hyzer and if becomes even more unpredictable. I disagree with the reviewer who says it hurts to throw. I've had sooo many people throw this disc, and throw it hard, and not one person has said anything about it hurting from the release. If you want to have a random meme disc in your bag and want to turn heads on the course, the Oxymoron is what you need. Cheese slices that fly.

**Cheat code, if you have a good thumber, this thing flies real far and semi predictable actually. On a thumber, it does a full schomahawk (sp?) (barrel roll) and pans out to a seemingly normal ending of the flight. My homie threw one in a wide open field on thumber and easily got over 300' on a pretty straight (finishing) line. Kind of blew my mind...good luck people.

Be careful with this. The rim is so small and so dense, it can be very painful on your finger when thrown hard.
