The Discraft Zone SS is a slightly less overstable version of the classic Zone, offering a straighter flight with minimal fade. It’s designed for controlled approaches, tunnel shots, and straight drives where precision matters, while still maintaining enough stability to finish reliably. Players get the familiar Zone feel but with a smoother, more workable flight right out of the box.

This disc is surprisingly good. I am not a fan of the Zone in any plastic combination, but I love ESP FLX plastic and the Zone SS is an intriguing disc, so I thought I would try it out.  This is a fun disc. Functionally, it flies like a slightly faster Atom or Proxy with a little more fade.  Where a Zone seems to seek the ground almost immediately out of hand, the SS will push straight for a surprising amount of time. Don't be misled, it is not a Meteor or Mind Bender, but it's also not a Zone anymore.

I tend to get about 200 of straight glide followed by a reliable and almost gentle fade. The best shots I throw with this are the hyzer stall shot because it'll flip up to flat and fade back once it loses steam.

It takes a minute to get the angle dialed in, but once you do, this is great for approaches that are just too close to throw a traditional mid, but too long for a floaty putter. And in the ESP FLX plastic, they tend to hit the ground and stay out rather than slip or roll away.

Fun disc if you need something in this slot.
