The Surge SS is a more understable version of the ultra-popular Discraft Surge. The ‘SS’ has a straighter edge that enhances control-ability and minimizes low speed fade, allowing this disc to fly even farther for less powerful players. The Surge SS works well for both forehand and backhand drives, and is available in ultra durable Elite Z plastic as well as all FLX.

I like this disc alot. Slightly understable, I can turn it over or hyzer flip it to get an S curve, gives me good distance and is very comfortable in the hand. it releases smooth. I really don't have anything bad to say about this disc.

Big fan of the SS version. Pretty consistent stability - predictable hyzer flips and gentle, steady turnovers for 350'-400' shots. Surge is a "go to" mold for me and like Nick mentioned, it's a seasoned surge right off the shelf. Like most straight/understable plastic - Great in tailwind & unpredictable in headwind.
