    Putter Line Details

Discraft Putter Line plastic was a hybrid of the original Pro-D base plastic to upgrade it for increased durability and grip. This 2021 update made the putters feel better for use in differing weather conditions and made it more of a mid-grade plastic blend.

An excellent all-around putter, one of the truly straight discs you can throw or putt. Feels like a Luna with a touch more chunk. The Soft Roach typically comes out puddle topped and flies understable off the shelf.

Purchased initially as an attempt at a cheaper alternative to a Luna, but I didn't find it to be what I was looking for out of my putters. Recently I've found myself more using 3 speed putters. 2 speeds (i feel at least) i have to put more "on it" in order to get the spin/stability i need when putting.

Not for me but it might be for you, only one way to find out

A friend of mine recommended the roach when I was looking for my new putter. Overall nothing to complain about the flight, just point and shoot. In fact, it is what I give to my beginner friends to throw and they seem to love it. My only gripe is that it is a touch shallow with no bead. (I like beaded midrange and below) So in my hand, I don't feel like I have a hold of it and I feel like it will "get away from me" compared to other putters.

    175g Putter Line

The putter line plastic wasn't as firm as I was expecting but in general love the roach. I generally use my roach strictly for throwing but I do think it is a great putting putter. The roach for me is a super straight putter that I pull out for any straight shot from 240-280. I just throw it flat and it does the rest of the work for me. I highly recommend this disc for anyone looking for a straight flying throwing putter or trying to search for their putter.
