Solid midrange. Reliable fade, love the feel of the grippy plastic. Had to buy myself a woodchuck to match.

    I am the Walrus

Coo-Coo-cachoo. I cannot recommend this disc highly enough. It is not as stable as it's numbers. It beat out a jawbreaker GT Buzzz  for a slot in my bag. It is everything I ever wanted from a Buzzz, dead straight flat, holds an anhyzer all the way to the pin. A stronger thrower than me will likely hyzer flip it to flat.

I play a weekly at Chavez Ridge, a steeply sloped moderately wooded course notorious for extreme rollaways and backhand hyzer shots that sail away down hill. I don't have a forehand past 175-200 ft. This disc has made the course more than manageable. I've been throwing dead straight gap shots and sexy, sexy turnover lines with easily controlled, sticky landings and I've won CTPs with it two weeks running. Coo-Coo-ca-Ching!

I love this disc. The elastic performance plastic is comically soft and super grippy. I grip locked it for the first few throws just because it stuck to my hand. When the Walrus hits the ground, it stops or does short hops. I never have to worry about it rolling away. Since it's so soft and grippy, it absorbs impacts and doesn't bounce far from whatever it hit.

The Walrus seems to create it's own lift and it glides for days. It's not nearly as overstable as I expected but it doesn't turn over when torqued on. At full power it basically flies straight with little fade. If thrown with full power annhyzer, it will stay turned over. If thrown with 50% power it will be overstable.

Think Discraft Zone that dies on impact. Walruses don't skip in nature, neither does this disc.
The Walrus is a cool disc. To compare it to a Zone is a compliment, as the Zone is one of those trusted and reliable disc molds out there, a flat top "putter" that is more suited to the approach game with a very predictable and solid fade at the end of flight.
That said, the Walrus flies almost identically to my Jawbreaker Zone, which is a touch less OS than my Z-FLX Zone. In flight, the Walrus flies straight and true with a flat release. With an anhyzer release, the Walrus eventually fights out of the turn, but not as hard as you might expect, and I can actually get the Walrus to hold a nice anhyzer line, which I can do with my Jawbreaker Zone, but not my Z-FLX one, which fights right out of it.
So why go with the Walrus? The Walrus has one thing that none of the other P&A discs have: Elastic Performance plastic. The plastic is grippy and floppy. And if you need your approach to die instead of skip or roll, then look to the Walrus. It hits the ground and stays put. Kind of like a real walrus would do once it jumps out of the water.

This mid-range has virtually the same plastic as some putters that are extremely soft. You can easily fold this disc in half.

I bought it for that reason. When it lands it sticks and stops. It's very useful on longer approach shots on steep hills or hard surfaces.

It's surprisingly overstable, however the harder you throw it the straighter it goes and fades less.  Surprisingly good in the wind too.

Will it replace my favorite midranges (Comet and Roc)? No.  Will I bag this? Yes.  It has a use on a lot of shots.

When a hole needs saving, Coo Coo Cachoo!

The Walrus was one of the first discs I tried because of the Elastic Performance plastic (rubber??).  It is super floppy, even brand new, very much like megasoft from Westside Discs. When I got it out on the course it did not let me down. Its got a predicable fade and because it is so soft it will sit where it lands which makes it particularly useful for upshots and well protected baskets. I have a lot of success throwing it on a hyzer line to get around obstacles, and save holes. For a long time it was the only mid I carried, and it will certainly always have a place in my bag. This is hands down my favorite disc.

I love this disc, rarely do I buy a disc and instantly put it in the bag, but this disc is money!!  It has a very flexible nearly Vibram rubber feel and flies like a roc but you can throw it straight at the basket with very little fade and when it lands it sticks.  knocked several strokes off my game from the first throw.  It flew well in the wind but the best thing about it, is the way it just sticks the landing almost every time.  Get a walrus they are amazing!!
