Produced in soft plastic usually reserved for putters, the Ogopogo takes all the great qualities of the Sabertooth, Mammoth and Buffalo, and gives the thrower one more; stopping ability. The Ogopogo doesn't skip on grass, cement or dirt and when it hits a tree, it just drops and stops. Because of the nature of the Elastic Performance Plastic, this disc will beat in quickly to become understable.

Right now rubbery flexy putters and approach discs are popular, but this is unique driver is the flexiest floppiest driver available on the market. Almost Firebird level overstable when new, it can take very high levels of power and while showing some turn also display a great level of fade.

it's not reported to hold shape and stability forever, though due to the soft plastic that is usually reserved for putters. Won't make my normal bag, but I do play a couple of events on mountain courses where a disc that can't really roll is a great asset to have, so it will likely stay in my backup bag in the car.

It's the only disc on the market that will start out as a firebird and turn into a roadrunner right before your eyes! Brand new, this is overstable and is great for distance control since it won't skip. Beat in, it's a roller that's too soft to roll very far.

It's a great utility disc. It's absolutely perfect for big hyzer placement shots. The elastic performance plastic is soft and rubbery, and it doesn't move from where it lands. I can reliably place the Ogopogo regardless of the wind, and know that it won't roll away or skip, even on a hill. Since there no big skip or rollaway danger, I will use the Ogopogo for two specific shots. A wide hyzer where I need to place the disc in a specific landing zone. Or when the pin is on a hill and there's a rollaway chance any/all sides of it, and the wide hyzer is available. In either of those two specific situations, there is no better disc.

After beating the Ogopogo in and getting an ace with it, I'm just enjoying throwing it. It's very fun to throw and see where it will go. Though beat in, it's become unusable as a reliable tournament disc.

The Ogopogo is a disc that truly makes Daredevil unique amongst manufacturers. Elastic Performance plastic is crazy floppy. Who would think to make a fairway driver out of it? And a crazy OS one at that? Daredevil, that's who.

There's a catch: elastic performance beats in rapidly, whether it's this or the walrus, you won't be seeing the monster fade you see right out of the box shortly after playing with it a few times.

That isn't enough to warrant a sub-5 star review, however, because the Ogopogo is truly a crazy useful disc in the right hands. I bag an Ogopogo in lieu of an OS midrange, and here's why: the midrange is designed to be a nice and easy to control disc that doesn't skip like a broad winged driver might do. You can rip the Ogopogo (within reason) and give it the distance of a mid and you get the control from the absurdly good grip you get from elastic performance plastic. But the best part is, it lands like a mid. If you need to drop a shot on a steep angle and you don't want it to roll? The Ogopogo is where it's at. I rarely use it on full throws. Where I find the most utility is where I need a short range flex out through a very narrow gap. It's more OS than a zone, less so than a flick. A spike hyzer with an Ogopogo sticks the landing every time. Yes, it will beat in quickly, but even a beat Ogopogo will still flex out nicely and even if you overdo it on the anny angle, you can rest assured that the disc won't roll to oblivion.

In summary: A lot of companies make overstable mids. Everyone makes overstable fairways. Only Daredevil makes an Ogopogo.

Love this disc for many reasons. The Ogopogo is not only a unique disc, but it can fit in beginner and advanced bags alike. There are 2 primary unique aspects of this disc. First, it is a fairway driver that can reliably hyzer, filling one of the most popular roles similar to that of the firebird, predator, fireball etc. However, this disc also has a legit turn to it when thrown hard which enables some of the most unique sky shots possible. Very delicate disc to throw on low lines, unless you dont have enough power to turn it, in that case its a soild 'firebird' in a super soft plastic.

It is the softest plastic of any fairway driver produced. This disc will just die when it hits anything, no terrible tree ricochets, no skip, no nothin. Just hits something and stops. If you are looking for a skip, dont throw this. If you are looking or a specific landing spot or are worried about thick trees, throw this. Very interested in trying out overhand throws, tomahawk and grenade seem intriguing with a disc like this.

Buy the Ogopogo. You wont regret it purely for how weird it is.

I bought the Ogopogo because I needed to fill a spot in my odds-and-ends bag. It definitely fulfills the requirements for the bag!

The Ogopogo is a good disc for sidearm flick shots (at least for me). It does not respond overly well to full-on power throws, however when thrown at about 70-80% it really shines. I normally get around 300 ft on drives so I do not have the most powerful arm (therefore knuckle-draggers probably need to go down to 60-65%). It does in fact flex out before finishing on a strong, fairly sharp fade. Daredevil numbers are not correct so the fade is not quite a 5 but is strong nonetheless.

As the previous reviewer stated, the flight path can be quite wide so the disc is not great for tight wooded courses.

If I had to compare the disc to anything I own, I'd say it feels a little bit like a Westside Ahti. The rim is fairly similar but not as wide. The flight is as if an Ahti could be flexed a little bit before the strong fade even with less force behind your throw. The feel of the plastic needs to be felt to be understood. It's quite odd at first.

The Ogopogo is a interesting and coolio disc. It is a little challenging to throw. The in hand feel of this disc makes me think of a soft putter. It is a similar plastic, the idea is that it will land on the ground and stay exactly where it landed. The Ogopogo is fairly comfortable in the hand, it has a thin rim on it.

I have a hard time throwing this disc though. To me it is very understable but overstable at the same time, especially when I throw sidearm. I'll explain; if I throw it flat the disc will maintain its exact flight path, if I throw it with a hyzer line it will hold that hyzer line (pretty typical for all discs), but if I throw it on an anhyzer line it will keep the line as well. Or if I accidentally release it slightly tilted upward, the disc will go to the right and not come out of it. Basically I find it to be pretty obnoxious to throw. This could be due to the fact that my form is not the best when throwing.

The purpose of it landing and sticking where it lands, is exactly what this disc does. Its pretty awesome, until I throw short and it just sticks to the ground.

In my opinion this disc is not very great for tree-lined courses like the North Carolina courses. The flight path is too wide for the narrow drives here.

Overall it is good disc, I have a hard time throwing it consistently. It still has a spot in my bag, I'm still messing around with it at the moment. But it is a fun disc.
